Blue Angel Practice Sessions
The Blue Angels are back in town and what better way to enjoy a lazy Tuesday or Wednesday than watch the world famous acrobatic team practice at their home base, NAS Pensacola. While there are viewing stands set up outside the National Naval Aviation Museum, chairs are highly recommended, especially on Wednesdays, when visitors can actually meet and greet with the actual pilots that fly the Navy’s Blue Angel aircraft. Pensacola real estate is particularly ideal for practicing, as the planes can fly just off shore and engage in the extreme acrobatic maneuvers the team is famous for without putting the large population at risk.
Practices are held Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8:30AM, and after Wednesdays practice, there is a meet and greet at the museum where you can get the pilots autographs or ask questions.
